I've been sitting back working on a new project here – I'll be sharing it with you shortly, but right now lets talk about making some money NOW!
If you are on my lists you know that I've been promoting several systems.
Have you had a chance to download your personal copy yet?
Have you read through the material and watched the videos yet?
Have you implemented your first affiliate presell site yet?
WHY NOT?
Below is a screen capture of the ClickBank account that I am using to capture my commissions as I start building this part of my business. Click on the graphic to open a popup with the full-sized image…

This account shows almost $600.00 paid out for just 2 affiliate promotions that I have setup as described in Google Sniper. I set these up a little over a month ago. Actually there is about $1,000 earned, however ClickBank holds the funds to make sure that there are no cancellations. Can you do this? I'll bet you can – if you JUST DO IT!
BTW - the new system by Michael Jones – The Affiliate Code – will also get you started. Actually, TAC has a bit more detail in the videos and system information that gives you more options. Options are good!
Important Note – I've got one site that I setup in the tattoo niche that seems to be overlooked by Google. Now this isn't unusual, and it is important that you realize that not everything that you put out there WILL be evaluated by the search engines. Actually, I can't get Google to crawl this site for the last 4 weeks! Oh well – I'll keep it going and eventually Google will crawl it – or index the current pages.
One more thing – Commission Junction surprise!
I also setup a simple CPA offer through my Commission Junction account. I logged in today to find that I had $80.00 deposited into my bank account from this offer – I do have a small site (page) tied to this, and it is starting to generate some $$. You can't expect everything to happen at once – but these small positive accomplishments will only lead to more and more of the same. Eventually this too will be generating a good six figures!
Now realize that I'm not here to teach you how all of this works! The sytems/programs that I'm promoting are excellent in the way that they explain what you need to know to get started. It might be too much to expect that they explain everything – really! There is no way that one Internet Marketing program can cover everything! I will continue to purchase these programs as each one gives me some good information – something that I maybe didn't have before.
Keep learning and seeking out information to add to your knowledge base.
To your continued success…
Michael Hobach

How many times in your life have you put off doing something because you couldn’t decide the best course of action to take? I’ve known people plan to go out for a well earned meal with their partner and end up staying at home because they couldn’t make up their mind between Chinese or Italian. Heaven help the person who orders sweet and sour chicken when all along they should have been having lasagna! Can you imagine what it is like for them to choose between a staying in their job or take a gamble on starting that business they always dreamed of?
The fear of making bad decisions prevents people from doing all kinds of things that they might be better off doing. The truth of the matter is there is no way of knowing which direction a particular choice is going to take you. You can spend years ruminating over every possible outcome while in the mean time watching the world move on around you. It doesn’t change the fact that, no matter what you choose to do in the end, it might all turn out right and it might all turn out not so right.
But none of that matters because the secret to making great decisions is falling in love with making mistakes.
A lot of people will not make the distinction between making a mistake and making a bad decision, but there is a world of difference, and realizing what that difference is can literally turn your life around and set you on a whole new path.
A mistake is literally doing something in a moment that you think is for the best but later turns out to be not such a good idea for you. A bad decision is doing nothing to correct that mistake and then letting the consequences of it define you for ages afterwards.
Here are a few of examples:
Mistake = Getting into a relationship with the wrong person.
Bad Decision = Sticking with them and being miserable for the rest of your life
Mistake = Choosing Bognor Regis rather than Cuba for your annual holiday.
Bad Decision = Looking for everything you can find to hate about Bognor just to prove you were right about how you should have gone to Cuba! And then going back to Bognor next year! (Bognor is a wonderful place by the way).
Mistake = Going into business without having some sort of a plan.
Bad Decision = Injecting more and more of your personal finance, sweat and tears into it just to prove you can make the damn thing work.
Making a good decision is not about knowing the outcome before it has had a chance to happen. It is about committing to ANY course of action you FEEL is for the best and then paying attention to the lessons you are later presented with. It is the skill of interpreting the information generated by what has happened and choosing to either do more of the same or change your approach — even start again in some cases. In the same way that an airplane reaches its destination by continually measuring how off track it is from the set flight path and adjusting its course to get back on track, the same is true for good decision making.
Making a decision in any area is not a one time event; it is an ongoing and organic process that must evolve as life unfolds.
Today’s Homework:
Think about a decision you have been putting off making. What are the possible choices you have?
Just for a moment, let go of analyzing which choice you think you should make and just listen to your body; your intuition. If I were to flip a coin and the rules were Heads you choose option A and Tails you go with option B, which side would you secretly hope for, deep down, before knowing the outcome?
Just go with your instinct and do something to start to make that choice happen. Be willing to make a mistake, knowing that the only bad decision you can ever make is to not do something about the things you didn’t want to happen.
If things go wrong be willing to make a mistake in the opposite direction because, who knows, it might turn out to not be a mistake after all, but rather the realization of your dream!
No matter what your situation you always have choice. Don’t worry about having to choose wisely; that’s overrated.

I'll bet you are wondering what it is that makes me an expert to sit here and talk to you about making money and especially doing it online…
First – I'm by no means an expert!
I have a good friend who keeps telling me that I'm an expert in Internet Technology and that I keep too much to myself. Well – I do know a lot and I have done a lot… but that doesn't make me an expert – at least not in my opinion!
But here's the thing…
I used to work really hard – you know what I mean! Then things really changed for me and a number of years ago I discovered how it was possible to stop trading my time for a paycheck. I still have family members, friends and neighbors who have asked outloud – how is it that you are able to sit at home and still have all of the things that they work so hard for by going to a job. Actually my ex wife beat on me a lot about not going to work and having a job.
In our lifetime we have been conditioned to believe that we have to work for some big corporation and in return we get paid and have all of these great benefits. Well, I think it's become obvious in the last couple of years that relying on some big corporation for our livelihood isn't the best idea. Our income is defined by our position and company policy. Over achievers seldom receive the compensation they deserve. True – some days we can just show up and still get paid – but is that really fair?
I was raised to be different and think outside the box
My father always – and I mean always, reminded me that I don't have to be like everyone else. I don't have to do what they do or think what they think! So many people are just 'clones' of everyone else around them. Are you?
To make insane amounts of money online and off line requires that you think differently
Personally, I have a desire to make enough money to pay my bills, and live comfortably – not unrealistic! I do want enough money so that I can continue to help others who are less fortunate than me, but the goal is to teach them to help themselves. Our society today does not know how to do that! Truth!
Motivation comes in weird ways
To be honest – a major motivating factor in my life to make a total change on how I earn a living came about in 2001 with some issues with my now ex wife. Divorce was inevitable, and it became clear that I needed to do what I needed to do for myself and my children. Her desires no longer mattered.
The ISP business that I had created, and where I worked long hours, was just another JOB – in fact I worked a lot harder than I did when I had a JOB with a company that I didn't own… duh!
The beginning of the rest of my life
In 2001 when we moved out here to the lake I knew that I would have the environment to work on the things that I really needed to work on, including myself.
I tried a lot of things including Network Marketing – won't ever do that again unless it's just to get a good product at a better price!
I also went back to what I love – truly my passion… the Internet from a marketing and and sales standpoint. You see the business that I was trying to separate myself from was a service company – mostly providing high-speed connections to local businesses. It was very much hands on and more work focused and not really creative focused for me. The technology behind everything that you see online is interesting to me – and it was my goal to make it simple to implement and easy to scale.
I do have another passion – Real Estate. I have little fear of failure when it comes to things like Real Estate (RE). Well actually I have little fear of failure when it comes to just about anything – except family!
My passion in Real Estate put me on a quest to become more knowledgeable about Real Estate transactions – at the time I had bought and sold 9 homes (that I have lived in) and bought and sold 2 commercial properties.
I went to school to get my license to originate mortgages – the learning experience was what I really wanted – I had no intention of ever originating a mortgage though. In my life I have done this a lot to learn things that I want to know. Yes I did get my license in the state of Wisconsin – no it's no longer active as I let it expire.
At the same time that I started doing some RE Short Sales I also got involved online with some other people doing the same. I came to realize that there was demand for what I knew about RE and Foreclosures – mind you I learned what I knew on my own. As a result of my new front line passion I started writing e-books and training material. Amazingly I was making more money with almost no work right from the start. I started doing more and more and the more I integrated the 'technology' part, the more money I was making – again with almost no real work on my part!
The rise and fall of a 'niche'
The Real Estate Short Sale / Foreclosure market online was truly one of those huge niches that we all would love to be a part of. I was, and for the most part I did everything right! The one thing that I did wrong was I focused on just one niche and I didn't pay attention to what was really going to happen to it when things changed in the market and our economy. We all saw it coming – but I'm not sure that everyone really knew what it meant. Now we do – that niche is still there, but there are no buyers of the things that we were selling anymore. Rather, I should say that the buyers are still there, but they are trying hard to keep their head above water so they aren't able to spend the money. Fair?
The point is that most people who buy things like my books are those who want to be a Real Estate Investor. Some are already REI's and they wanted to know more on the subjects I wrote about. Some are Realtors who where/are trying to learn another way to use what they already know. But the 'buyers' who really mattered were those who saw an opportunity and wanted to do that – most just bought the books that were never read… Remember all the late night infomercials about Real Estate in the 80's and 90's? Yep I had boxes of that stuff too… most buyers never do a thing with their purchase – and now with the economy they can't even imagine Investing in Real Estate. Oh well…
In the mean time
While I was writing my books and marketing them online I discovered how easy it was to make money! Actually I discovered how easy it was to make money online regardless if it was my product or someone else's product. In a previous post here I indicated how I was making six figures on my books and training alone. I didn't mention that I was also making money promoting other people's products and services.
There was one e-book from ClickBank that I was promoting – not promoting hard – but promoting… I was earning just under $4k per month promoting this e-book alone as an affiliate. It was easy! Then all of a sudden that book was no longer available
I was also promoting a service that I found on Commission Junction, that made me about $300 per month. Now this was a $29.99/mo service where I received $2.99 each month on every customer that I referred. Not a lot of money, but the concept was awesome don't you think?
There were other promotions that I offered to my list that earned me a lot of money – it all adds up!
During this time I also did some major eBay stuff too – you see there are distributors out there who will drop-ship products directly to your customers – your company name appears on all material that the customer sees. On eBay they have this 'Power Seller' program… from month one I realized more than $4,000 a month in sales on eBay. After three months I got their 'Power Seller' banner on my store. What was I selling? High-end electronics! My biggest seller was a muli-function – multi-device remote from Sony. It was about $130 and everyone wanted one!
What I've learned and what I'm willing to share with you…
Times are tight and our economy isn't playing nice with our expected quality of life. We can all make small changes in how we think and what we do to improve this.
There is a simple concept to understand - if you don't know something (like how to make money online) you will either have to learn it the hard way – by researching things and trial & error as I have, or you will have to pay to learn how this all works by purchasing programs that teach you the concepts.
Understand too that there is no such thing as just one way to make money online! And there is no ONE program that will show (teach) you everything that you need to know. Stop asking me for the ONE program that you need to purchase!
There is one thing that is not negotiable – you will have to do some work… and you will be out of your comfort zone… and it won't happen overnight!
It will happen – just not overnight!
Stop looking for the quick fix!
If you are broke and unemployed – get a job and take care of business… if you are employed, but just not making ends meet realize that buying a program online will not automatically fix your financial situation!
You won't learn this overnight and you won't start making money today.
Even the no-cost or Free programs have some expense to get started – usually domain name registration (~ $10/yr) and hosting (~ $5/mo min).
Also realize that I am not you – I do have the means and knowledge to get a brand new web site up within minutes – I own servers and have hosting already online. Most people already online have these things in place. I can register a domain name and have it live in 5 minutes – seriously…. I can create the needed graphics or pick a 'theme' within minutes and have it on the web site.
You will be able to do this too – maybe not right now, but if you really want to make money on the Internet then some day soon you will be able to move that fast on a new idea.
Sorry for the length of this post – I get long winded sometimes.
I hope you find some words of encouragement in this post, and it is my desire to motivate you to do what you need to do to get what you want! Does that make sense?
To your continued success…

While human beings like to believe they are ruled by logic and reason alone, this is very often just not the case. Humans are emotional creations and people simply tend to react more strongly when emotional chords are struck. From how people respond to each other to why a certain product sells better than others, emotions are often the guide.
If your marketing efforts are not reaching people on an emotional level, they may fall short of the desired goal. While wholly logical, rational adverting campaigns that simply explain a product or service and why it should be purchased can make sales, they tend only produce modest results. When campaigns reach people on a different level or multiple levels, the effectiveness will show in the bottom line results.
Emotions can sell for a number of reasons. Reaching out on this level effectively is, in fact, one of the closest-guarded marketing secrets. Look around at some of the biggest companies or even at Hollywood blockbusters and it becomes clear that emotions do sell.
Appealing to emotions can be a very successful tool for these reasons:
- Emotional advertising can turn decent products into needed items – Think about the products that people buy with a passion. Is a particular brand of soap really the best? Can it make a woman attract men a whole room away? How about a certain brand of coffee, can it really break the ice and a spark special relationship? Chances are the answers to the questions are no, but emotionally charged advertising can actually lead people to believe otherwise.
- It can cut through the logic – When marketing campaigns strike the right emotional chords, they can push logic and reason to the side. When people react on an emotional level, their subconscious minds tend to take over. This is a powerful force that can lead to sales.
- Emotional ads can still appeal to logic – Emotional marketing campaigns do not have to throw logic and reason out the window to be successful. When campaigns are handled with care, they can reach some people on the emotional level and others through straight sales techniques. The result is a win-win for the advertiser and the product.
- Emotional campaigns can develop a sense of loyalty or good will – When the right emotions are appealed to through a campaign, people can find themselves actually feeling good about buying a particular product. Even if the product is not the best of its kind out there, many people will still be inclined to make the purchase any way. Developing product loyalty through marketing does often involve the use of emotional techniques. The end result can be a powerful force that will keep customers coming back for more.
There are many secrets that make great marketing campaigns great. Reaching beyond the logical is just one of the tools used by marketing experts that know how to take a good product and turn it into an incredible seller. There are many more tricks of the trade that business elite employ that others might not know about. When they are used, success is very likely to follow.

Your company offers the best product or service of its kind in your industry. Its prices also happen to trump all comers. Tons of money is dumped each year into advertising and marketing yet your sales have not taken off. Meanwhile, your competition is enjoying a boon that is unbelievable.
What are you doing wrong?
Chances are it has nothing to do with your product, service or the pricing involved. The likely culprit for your sluggish returns is found in how your marketing is handled. Even if you are spending a lot of money and really getting the word out there, it may not pay off. If your message does not reach customers the right way, your gains may only be modest at best.
Take a look at the competition and see how it is getting the word out about a product or service. Look beyond the actual frequency of campaigns or the vehicles that are used. Pay attention to the substance, style and presentation of the advertising.
There is a very good chance that your competition has succeeded in reaching out to customers on an emotional or subconscious level where you have not. If the competition is using marketing techniques that speak to customers, so to say, it will not necessarily matter that you have better pricing and better products to offer. They will make the sale every time. Your traditional marketing techniques might improve your sales, but they will not produce the skyrocketing results your competition is enjoying.
So, why is it that emotions are so important in marketing?
When customers are appealed to on an emotional level, they will respond even if they do not necessarily mean to. People simply gravitate toward products, services or companies they feel they can trust. They are also more likely to support products that they believe can do something for them or their families that other products might not be able to.
Consider some of the most successful companies in the world. They have spent a great deal of time and effort making themselves household names. Many have done this by reaching out to consumers on the emotional and subconscious levels.
Say you sell laundry detergent. Your product is marketed as the greatest powerhouse with the most value. Your sales are good, but they could be better.
As you try to grow your reputation, competition comes on the market. Its product is clearly not as good as yours and its price might even be a bit higher. Its packaging, logo and promotions, however, have been designed to reach consumers on an emotional level. The commercials show busy working moms beaming that their children look so well taken care of. They might show single guys impressing the ladies with their crisp, clean and stylish clothing. While your product might actually do those things, the competition might enjoy a bigger piece of the sales pie because it has convinced others that it provides the solution to their problems.
When it is time to take your business to the next level, marketing will matter. Learning how to reach clients in a different, more compelling way can make all the difference in the world. There are secrets about marketing that can turn the table in your favor, emotional appeals are just one avenue for success.

While it is important to have a good product or service to offer, this is often just not enough to realize major sales upon release. When a runaway hit is desired, planning needs to go well beyond the actual product. In many cases, success or failure is determined not necessarily by the item offered to consumers but the manner in which it is offered to them. Marketing, in short, can make or break a product. It can also make or break a company.
Products that sell incredibly well are very often not the best of their kind out there. They might not even be the most reasonably priced. Still, people will line up to get them and even feel compelled to purchase them. In many cases, consumers believe they have to have a particular product to be happy. They might not even really need the product and they might even see a better one as they are on the way to make the purchase, yet their cash will be plunked down for item X no matter what.
If you are ready to exercise this kind of marketing power to the benefit of your own products and services, you need to look at the secrets that highly successful marketers use every day.
Marketing efforts that manage to turn a decent product into one that people think they cannot live without target consumers in a slightly different way. On the surface the ads used might look the same as all others, but pay close attention and the differences will stand out. Marketers that enjoy runaway successes tend to speak to consumers on a different level than just run of the mill good marketers will.
When real success out of marketing is desired, it is important to understand these things about human beings:
- People have innate triggers they will respond to – Just as most animals will fiercely protect their young and some animals will migrate during set seasons and travel to set places, people are also preprogrammed in many ways. When marketing campaigns trigger the right programming cues, people will respond.
- People act on emotions – Marketing campaigns that are designed to elicit certain emotions or desires can enjoy huge success. When people believe a product will help them look like the people in the commercials, enjoy the same level of happiness displayed on a screen or have the same level of appeal to the opposite sex, they will make purchases.
- People respond to symbols – The language of symbols is one that has been used by people for eons. When marketing campaigns use the right symbols to elicit trust, desire or emotions, consumers tend to respond by opening their wallets.
These are just a few of the truths about people that highly successful marketing campaigns are built around. When campaigns reach out and speak to people on the innate or subconscious level, a runaway hit can be enjoyed. If they do not, even the best product of its kind might not enjoy runaway success.

On the surface, most marketing campaigns appear alike. They mainly rely on the same advertising vehicles, involve the same types of agencies and tend to cost a fair amount of money no matter what.
Why is it then that some campaigns turn companies into near overnight successes and others just fail to make the grade? How is it that some companies with fairly average products can become household names, but companies with better products and even pricing might not even register as a blip on consumers’ radars?
In most cases, it all comes down to the techniques that were employed in the campaign. Common techniques can and do make sales. This is why they have become common. They do not, however, break records or catapult products to the top of sales charts. These techniques are simply missing the edge that others can provide.
If you want to see your business grow, the techniques used in your marketing will matter. Go with standard, straightforward tactics and your business will likely see results. Think on a deeper, more creative level and the impact will likely blow away expectations.
Consider some of the world’s most successful companies and the products they have to offer. The biggest burger chains do not necessarily have the best burgers in the world. The greatest selling sneakers might not be the most comfortable. The hottest rock bands might hurt people’s ears. Despite these things, the products they offer sell and they sell well.
So, how do they do it? The companies that are found at the pinnacle of their own industries tend to use marketing techniques that are slightly different. While their advertisements might only seem slightly slicker than others, there is more to their strategy than that.
Companies that succeed in their marketing efforts tend to appeal to people through:
- Symbols – Their logos and advertising designs might appeal to people through symbolism. Whether it is a blatant effort or simply by chance, the right logos can reach out to people on the subconscious level. When the right message is received, people will respond.
- Inborn responses – People, just like all other animals, are born with certain things that they respond to. When marketing triggers innate programming, people take notice. They will sometimes do so whether they want to or not.
- Emotions – Appeal to people on an emotional level and they will be sold. When natural emotions are triggered through marketing efforts, people will tend to gravitate toward a product. If marketing makes people believe a product will make their family happy, provide them personal satisfaction, deliver fun, smiles, sex appeal or what have you, sales will follow.
Tried and true marketing techniques can build up your company and its product sales in a modest way. If it is time to take efforts to the next level, appealing to customers in a different way is a must. When campaigns reach out to people’s emotions, their inborn wiring or even their trust of certain symbols, the sky is often the limit.

What makes one product sell a hundred times better than a similar and even lower-priced brand? Why will some people pass up major savings to buy identical items at higher-priced stores? How come some service providers are overrun with business when their competition hardly receives a telephone call?
There is a single answer to all of these questions: It is influence.
When marketing professionals manage to influence consumers with their advertising and branding campaigns, it shows in people’s responses to certain products, stores and service providers. If influencing is particularly successful, consumers are likely to pass by savings, convenience and even better service and higher quality to get what it is they believe they cannot do without.
Take pause and think about marketing campaigns that have proven wildly successful. Pay attention to stores and service providers that pack in customers even if their competition has better pricing. Look at their ads, watch their commercials and see how they do things. Chances are you will see influence at work in everything they do. From the corporate or product images they create to how they appeal to consumers, the highly successful know how to wield influence.
Learning the ropes of influencing through marketing is no easy feat. There are many marketing professionals who simply have not mastered the craft and likely never will.
To use influence to one’s advantage, it takes reaching beyond the norm in marketing practices and trying to connect with people on a deeper, and often more meaningful level. Many marketers shy away from the concept because it can be risky, but traditional means of making sales are proven and will show results. Rather than take a chance that could lead to incredible sales, they prefer to stick with modest returns.
When marketers do choose to use influence to help their clients enjoy success, they will find there are a number of different directions they can go. People are influenced by a lot of different forces. On the most basic of levels, they are influenced by the need for food, shelter, clothing and water. Working on a different level, there are 22 other major motivating forces that can drive consumers to take action, purchase products or patronize particular stores or service providers. When campaigns tap into these forces, they tend to reach out to people and drive them through their desires or wants.
Learning how to market through influence requires understanding a few basic truths about people. The reality is that while many humans like to think of themselves a logic driven, most people simply are not. When marketing campaigns sell an image, a lifestyle or a feeling, they do tend to get noticed.
If your marketing campaigns are falling flat or are just not getting the results you want, it might be time to exercise a little influence. When the right motivators are used in advertising, a big change can be seen in the bottom line. Campaigns of this nature are not easy to pull off, but the risk can be well worth the rewards.

Gaining modest results from marketing by playing it safe and adhering to traditional techniques can work very well for some companies. They trudge along with a reasonable amount of success without ever looking beyond to see what else they might be able to achieve.
Why is it then that some companies succeed beyond the wildest dreams of most people, even if their products or services are average at best?
Quite often it all comes down to marketing. How it is approached and what techniques are used can make all the difference in the world. When more than modest results are desired, it is imperative to think outside the box and tap into the secrets that some of the most successful companies from Madison Avenue to Hollywood have long known about. There are methods that go beyond the tried and tested norms that can make campaign results soar.
One of the biggest secrets used by major companies in their marketing efforts involves appealing to the inborn programming people are simply wired with at birth.
Think this does not matter? Well, think again.
Just as certain animals migrate at set times during the year and most living creatures are born with an innate sense to protect their young, humans come preprogrammed with certain ingrained traits. When these traits are triggered through marketing, people respond without even knowing why in many cases. They will favor products marketed under programs that trigger their programming and they will make purchases even if another product is cheaper, prettier or even just plain better.
When marketing efforts use traditional techniques for promoting products and services, they can pay off, of course. This is why so many companies fail to take their efforts to the next level. They just don’t know a next level even exists. If they do, they are unaware of how to make the secrets work for them.
Companies that have made it to the upper levels in their industries, however, often rely on different techniques to get the word out about what they have to offer. They have learned to activate the inborn programming of people to drive their businesses forward. When this happens, consumers tend to beg for a product rather than have to be asked to purchase it.
Consider some of the most successful companies in the world. Their products speak for themselves. People inherently trust them and make purchases even if another option that is better is readily available.
The same understanding of inborn programming has long been evidenced in Hollywood where moviemakers appeal to the subconscious to get people to buy tickets to shows that might not even be all that good. Fast-paced trailers that flash gripping images in rapid succession can sell even the most mediocre of stories and turn them into real box office blockbusters.
One of the biggest secrets to corporate success is already found locked in the subconscious of consumers all over the world. Products and services do not have to be “the best” to sell that way. The marketing, however, has to be right. Appeal to consumers on the right level and success beyond the wildest dream is likely to follow. Stick with tried and tested techniques and modest gains are likely all a company will see.

I thought I’d cover this early in our discussion – I have been involved with a number of Network Marketing Companies in the past. I have built a downline of several thousand people. I have earned thousands of dollars per month through Nework Marketing – years ago…
I have several really nice suits and cotton white shirts in my closet.
I’ve taken and written off many vacations.
I even purchased for cash a timeshare in Florida just outside of the Disney properties.
I never worked so hard in all of my life!
Some companies have really wonderful products and I still order Nuskin through my distributor account. Other companies have fizzled and all but gone away. Yet others keep going because they make so much money that they can stay alive.
I was a presenter – I had my laptop connected to a video projector and I stood up there talking to the groups that my downline ‘Invited’ to our presentations.
I did in-home demonstrations – I just can’t tell a woman that she has lines and wrinkles in her face that our product would help!
I told people that it was easy to make the money that I made – that I would show them exactly what to do.
Have you been here?
Pay attention to what I’m going to say for the rest of this post…
If a company has a product that is sold through a distribution channel that requires multiple people to earn a commission – no matter how good it is, it is going to be over priced. Remember that the company makes the biggest profit – then all of the ‘Distributors’ down the line to where the product actually gets to the customer. Whew… hard to imagine the whole $$ thing. You have a $1.00 product that ends up costing the buyer $49.00 because of everyone in between that needs to get a cut.
No matter how good it is it takes a lot of ‘selling’ to convince the buyer that it’s worth it.
Don’t forget the ‘autoship’ product that you have to maintain – $100 of product produces commissions for all of that upline – doesn’t matter that YOU are buying it now does it!
Here is what I really didn’t like about Network Marketing…
My (BIG) income had nothing to do with my ability to sell or market the product(s) – it was directly dependent on how well I recruited, motivated and babied those in my downline.
I stopped counting how many times I heard – "I can’t find anyone to buy this stuff" or "I don’t have any friends who I can recruit"
But this is why I won’t do this ever again – no matter what the product or how close to the top I’m placed. Just never going to happen.
The difference with doing my own thing…
When I have my own company, products, services, etc – I can decide what I’m going to sell today. If wigs that make a woman look like beyonce are hot (look up ‘beyonce wigs’) then I will promote it… if it’s the beginning of the NFL season I want to be able to promote ‘NFL wear’ or Fantasy Football League web sites.
I want to choose what I’m going to sell… something that I know is hot and real people are really buying them!
I don’t want some company to tell me that their product is hot – because that’s what they produce and market – regardless of how cold the market is for their product. Just because they say that their products are needed – it’s the wanted products that I will be promoting!
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Please don’t comment about how the MLM or Network Company that you are with is different. I’ll delete your comment and ban you from this site.
We are not here to promote MLM / Network Marketing as the way to really make money.
To your continued success,
Michael Hobach
